In October 2021, Leianne Messina traded sweltering in southern sun for shoveling snow. She left life as a rivulet on her “swanky” (anything but - no heat, no AC & critters) riverfront fishing shack in Blue Ridge, Georgia to “revive” and flip Fanciful Farmettes on the mid coast of Maine. As an Associate Real Estate Broker, she has sold over $120 million in her 19+ year career, winning the Coldwell Banker "2007 Rookie of the Year", selling $5+ million her first year. As the “Chief Redneck” and Owner/Design Director for her home revival/renovation company, Redneck Revivals, she proudly states "We REVIVE homes and creates spaces for wasting time."

 

She is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara and FIDM-The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco, and has worked for some of the world’s largest design and fashion power houses, The Gap, Ann Taylor, Jessica McClintock, bebe and Sotheby’s. Her fashion and remodeling experience makes for an easier home sale or purchase for her clients. 

 

She knows what a seller needs to do to prep their home for sale and helps buyers envision "potential" during the home search. She is known for her "home revivals" w/ fashion flair-not your typical flips. With her talented crew and furniture finds from old local farms and families in New England, she creates one-of-a-kind bath vanities, lighting and home accessories. 

 

She returned home to New England in 2021 (it took her 40+ years to get back home) to enjoy Mainestream Living, “off the grid, out of gridlock and away from the grind”. She currently is reviving 2 farms, her circa 1864 “Mainestream Farm” on 3+ acres in Warren and “Nuthin’ Special”, her circa 1894, 15+ acre riverfront Farmhouse/Saw Mill in Montville. This California-Southern-New England girl revives homes w/ back-to-basics function and fashion swag and whips up "Nuthin Special" FANCY-FARMHOUSE-FARE to get folks off their phones and back to the table. 

 

She celebrates life on her farms with her furry side kick Spurgeon (as in Pastor Charles), her bumbling 125 lb Bernese Mountain Dog. Leianne says "I find joy on my properties and around the table, not on the interstate or the internet." Her creativity and expertise in fashion, real estate, home design, marketing & sales spans from having lived and worked in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Portland, Boston, Cape Cod, New Hampshire, Tampa, Sarasota, Atlanta, Tokyo and now Maine. 

 

Leianne is currently working on 3 books and a screenplay based on her real-life-ripped from the headlines story of surviving gaslighting, narcissist abuse, domestic violence, parental alienation and stalking. Her books/screenplay include her “memoiry” (part fantasy nonfiction, part what she remembers), “Gaslight Harmonies”, she help victims of narcissist abuse reignite their flame by extinguishing the gaslight and eliminating the gaslighter, “Gaslighting God’s Way” a playbook/devotional to pray your way through the CRAZYMAKING and away from the CRAZYMAKER and her latest “God is NOT a pussy!”, Biblical proof that you can get Righteous Retribution or “Jesus justice” by giving your enemies a Jesus butt whoopin!

She is also the former Creative Director for her personal home/lifestyle brand "Farmwoody" www.Farmwoody.com, the sprawling urban farmhouse in Atlanta/Dunwoody/Sandy Springs. Here she celebrated life as a "Fancy Farmhand" w/ chickens and 2 dogs, where fresh eggs became fresh eats around table.

 

Her vast connections/design experience span from having lived/worked in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Portland, Boston, Cape Cod, New Hampshire, Tampa, Sarasota, Atlanta and Tokyo. Raised by a single mom, she is a hard worker. She contributes her success to this drive to always be and do better in the favor of God.
